Deed of Settlement

The Deed of Settlement signed by Moriori and the Crown on 14 February 2020 comprises a suite of documents including a background historical account, and sets out the Crown’s breaches of their duties under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, their apology, and the redress package.

Along with an agreed historical account, Crown acknowledgements and an apology, the Moriori settlement package included:
